Mangaluru: In a bizarre incident, a fight over chicken sambar ended in murder. The incident took place last night when father killed his son after a quarrel broke out over a chicken sambar near Mogra Eranagudde in Guthigaru Village of Sullia Taluk.
Sheena and her son Shivarama (32), a resident of Mathru Majalu in Mogra Eranagudda, had a fight over chicken in the midnight.
It is said that when Shivaram came home at night, the chicken sambar was empty. When he objected to this and started abusing, a quarrel broke out between him and his father, Sheena. An angry Sheena allegedly hit his son on the head with a stick. Shivaram reportedly collapsed on the spot and died after being hit suffering a severe head injury.
Subrahmanya Police reached the spot and arrested the accused Sheena. Shivaram’s body has been taken to Kadaba Hospital.
