Mangaluru: BJP State President and MP Nalin Kumar Kateel said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi will be in the city on September 2 to dedicate development projects worth Rs. 1,200 Crore and to lay the foundation for projects funded by the Sagarmala programme of the New Mangalore Port Authority (NMPA). The final details of Prime Minister Modi’s visit are still being worked out and will be decided in the next few days, he said.
PM will attend an event in Kochi on September 2 before travelling to Mangaluru at 3.45 pm. He will go to NMPA to lay the foundation for several initiatives. Kateel said that the venue is still being finalised.
“The public event will include participation from the Prime Minister, Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai, Union Minister of Ports, Shipping and Waterways Sarbananda Sonowal, and Union Parliamentary Affairs Minister Pralhad Joshi, among others,” he said.
