Mangaluru: Two boats kept at Someshwara Beach caught fire and the boat and fishnet were gutted in the fire, causing a loss of lakhs of rupees and it is suspected to be an act of miscreants.
A country boat belonging to Someshwara fishermen Anil and Shekhar caught fire on afternoon of Thursday March 2. The boats caught fire and the fire spread to nearby bushes and locals doused the fire.
It is suspected that the cigarette thrown by the residents or the miscreants set it on fire.
