Mangaluru: The Forest Department is trying its best to control the forest fire that broke out four days ago in the Alekhan Horatti Forest area of Chikkamagaluru Division of Charmadi Ghat area.
The fire, which was witnessed in the areas on Sunday March 5 was later brought under control and was re-seen on Monday March 6.
After the fire broke out, the Department Staff is carrying out an unprovoked operation. The fire is currently being witnessed in a remote hillock and it is not possible to reach there.
Eyewitnesses said that a minor fire was reported at several places in Charmadi Ghat.
Belthangady Wildlife Division RFO Swathi said that the forest fire that broke out a few days ago in the wildlife division of Belthangady Taluk has been completely brought under control and no fire cases have been reported so far.
