Mangaluru: Gold valued at Rs 17.43 lakh seized at MIA

Mangaluru: On Wednesday August 10, the officers of the Customs at Mangaluru International Airport seized 332 gms gold of 24 carat.

The gold seized from a male passenger is valued at Rs. 17,43,000. The passenger hailing from Kasaragod, Kerala had arrived from Dubai by Spicejet, Flight No. SG-60.

The gold in the form of paste mixed with solod gum was concealed inside the sole portion of a pair of slippers worn by the passenger.
