Mangaluru: To the shock of the locals, a day-old child was found on Thursday October 6 abandoned, beside a road nee Thokkottu.
Amar became aware of the situation on Thursday when he heard a baby crying close to his home on Ambika Road in Kapikad, Thokkottu. The child was placed behind a nearby parked car and was covered in white cloth while the man searched his home, according to sources.
He asked his neighbours, but no one could identify the infant. The infant was cared for by Amar’s family before being turned over to District Wenlock Hospital staff.
Amar also reported the incident to Ullal Police. The Ullal Police, who filed a report in this regard, are looking for clues as to whose the child is.
Wenlock Hospital staff members are still taking care of the infant, it has been learned.
