Mangaluru: Former Minister and Senior Congress Leader B. Ramanath Rai said BJP State President and MP Nalin Kumar Kateel should remove Kateel from his name.
Speaking to mediapersons here he said, “From now on, BJP State President Nalin Kumar Kateel should remove Kateel from his name. We are reminded of Kateel Sri Durgaparameshwari Temple, the sacred Temple of Tulu nadu as soon as we say ‘Kateel’. Kateel is a sacred place. However, State president Nalin Kumar is defaming Kateel with his indecent remarks and behaviour. Instead of talking about the development works of the BJP Government, he is appealing to party workers to seek votes on communal issues like ‘love jihad’, he expressed his anger.
“His statements are damaging the harmony in the society and unbecoming for his name,” he added.
