Mangaluru: KSRTC announces ‘Deepavali’ tour package

Mangaluru: The Mangaluru Division of KSRTC has launched a ‘Deepavali’ tour package to connect important temples in Dakshina Kannada. At least five to 10 KSRTC buses are operating under package tour.

From October 21 to 31 (except October 25), the public are being allowed to travel in a tour package.

In Mangaluru-Madikeri Tour Package 1, the travellers can see Rajaseat, Abbi falls, Nisargadhama, Golden Temple, and Harangi Dam. Apart from the provision of lunch and breakfast, the tour package is priced at Rs. 500 each for adults and Rs. 450 for children above the age of six years.

Mangaluru-Kollur Tour Package 1 allows you to visit Maranakatte, Kollur, Kamalashila and Uchila temples. Apart from meals and breakfast arrangements, the tour package is priced at Rs. 400 each for adults and Rs 350 for children above six years of age.

Mangaluru-Puttur Tour Package 1 allows visitors to visit Vittal Panchalingeshwara, Mrityunjeshwara, Umamaheshwari, Puttur Mahalingeshwara, Gejjegiri and Hanumangiri. Apart from meals and breakfast arrangements, the tour package is priced at Rs. 400 each for adults and Rs. 350 for children above six years of age.

Package 1 of the Mangalore Tour includes Kadri Temple, Pane Mangalur, Nandavara Vinayaka, Suria Kanyadi, Dharmasthala, Sauthadka, Uppinangadi Sahasralingeshwara, Puttur Mahalingeshwara and Vittak Panchalingeshwara Temples. Apart from meals and breakfast arrangements, the tour package is priced at Rs. 400 each for adults and Rs. 350 for children above six years of age.

Package 2 of the Mangalore Tour includes Kudupu, Mariamma Temple in Moodabidri, Savira Kambada Basadi, Kodyadka and Nellitheertha. The tour package is priced at Rs. 300 each for adults and Rs. 250 for children above six years of age.

Mangaluru Tour Package 3 includes Mangaladevi, Polali, Kateel, Uchila, Bappanadu, Sasihitlu, and Thanneerbhavi Beach. Apart from the provision of meals and breakfast, the tour package will be priced at Rs. 300 each for adults and Rs. 250 for children above the age of six years.

This Diwali package of KSRTC is sure to help people. Those travelling in this package can get direct access to the temple. There is no need to stand in a queue and wait. The package provides an opportunity to make direct entry to receive anna prasadam at the temples.

This Diwali package has made it convenient for the middle-class and lower-middle-class families to travel at a lower cost. A family of 4 or 5 people can travel to temples at a cost of just Rs. 2,000 to 3,000 for a full-day trip.

Since KSRTC’s Dasara package was a success, the KSRTC has launched the Deepavali package and KSRTC is also planning to launch weekend packages regularly.
