Mangaluru: The long-awaited KSRTC low-floor air-conditioned Volvo bus service to the Mangaluru International Airport (MIA) will begin services on October 27, informed the KSRTC Mangaluru division.
Volvo buses will travel from Manipal and the Mangaluru International Airport from the Central Railway Station.
A meeting was held with the airport officials to make arrangements for services, which included no-cost parking.
There had been a long-standing demand for direct bus service to MIA, and Transport Minister B. Sriramulu directed department officials to prioritise the service. Due to permit-related problems, the services got delayed.
