Mangaluru: Bhushan Rai, a resident of Sevanthigeguthu in Thokottu, who was seriously injured in a bike accident near Kuttaru Temple late last night is brain dead and his family has come forward to donate his organs.
After the accident, he was admitted to Yenepoya Hospital in Deralakatte where he did not respond to treatment and was admitted to KMC Hospital in Mangaluru. The doctors there informed that the injured’s brain was paralysed. After a medical examination post 4.00 pm, the family agreed to donate organs.
Bhushan’s sister’s marriage took place only a two weeks ago. His father, Marappa Rai, had died a year ago. Bhushan was staying with his mother.
