Mangaluru: A leopard was reportedly spotted in Farangipete and Valachil areas on Saturday September 24 causing panic among the people in the area.
Rafeeque, a resident of Maripalla, said he was travelling in his car around 11.00 pm on Saturday when he saw a leopard at Milestone 10 near Farangipete.He said that he saw the leopard on the side of the 10th Milestone of National highway and immediately ran into an empty space next to the highway. He informed the locals at a nearby hotel about the leopard and the news spread in the vicinity, creating an atmosphere of panic.
People at Valachil Padavu near Farangipete too had spotted a leopard in the vicinity on the morning of Saturday. Local people said that the same leopard may have been spotted at the 10th Milestone at night.
