Mangaluru: Madgaon-Mangaluru Memo Train services began on Jan 5

Mangaluru: Madgaon -Mangaluru Memo Train services on the Konkan Railway line started on Thursday January 5 and the diesel multiple unit demo train, which was running earlier, was suspended due to COVID – 19.

Commuters demanded that let the mainline electric multiple unity run be started once the line was completely electrified. This was specifically the demand of the people for it would benefit those going from Karwar to Mangaluru and Udupi hospitals.

Now from January 5, train no. 10107 leaves Madgaon junction at 5.15 am and reaches Mangalore Central all six days, every Monday to Saturday. Train no. 101 08 leaves Mangalore Central at 2.45 pm and reaches Madgaon at 10.00 pm on all six days from Monday to Saturday. Sunday there is no movement of the train.

The train will have 08 car memo coaches and will stop at Kanakona, Asnoti, Karwar, Ankola, Gokarna, Kumta, Honnavar, Manki, Murudeshwar, Bhatkal, Mookambika Road, Byndoor, Senapura, Kundapura, Barkur, Udupi, Mulki and Surathkal stations.
