Mangaluru: The verdict of the Malali Masjid dispute will be delivered by the third Additional Civil Court in the City.

A counsel for the Assayed Abdullahil Madani Mosque administrative committee objected to the VHP’s request for a court-appointed commission to survey the Juma Masjid in Malali and asked the court to lift the restrictions placed on construction activity on the mosque premises.

The Karnataka High Court recently dismissed a petition filed by VHP workers challenging the decision made by the Additional City Civil Court on June 6 in the Malali Jumma Masjid case. The counsel for the Muslim side provided a copy of the same to the court.

The court then made the decision to deliver the verdict on August 1.
