Mangaluru: A third additional civil court here, which is hearing several petitions in connection with the renovation of the Malali Mosque, has reserved its verdict for October 17.

Hindu activists claim that as the mosque was being demolished for renovation in April of this year, remnants of a structure resembling a temple were found.

Locals and other activists gathered at the site on April 21 as the news spread. A structure like a Hindu temple was found inside the mosque, prompting activist T. A. Dhananjaya and five other people to demand an investigation.
