Mangaluru: A man was severely injured after he shot himself in an attempt to end his life at his home on Monday October 24.
The injured has been identified as Keshava Prabhu (60), a resident of Jattipalla in the Taluk’s Kasaba village. Prabhu, who had been seriously injured, was first taken to the Sullia Government hospital before being transferred to a private hospital in the City for more advanced treatment.
Sub-Inspector Dileep of Sullia visited Prabhu’s house after visiting at the Sullia hospital. According to sources, Prabhu allegedly shot himself in the head with his country pistol due to a personal issue.
A case is registered against Prabhu for possessing unlicensed country pistol. Further investigation is on.
