Mangaluru: We don’t have to ask anyone to celebrate Brahmasree Narayana Guru’s birth anniversary in Mangaluru. Brahmashri is not limited to one caste. He belongs to the entire human race of India, said BJP Spokesperson Harikrishna Bantwal.
Speaking to mediapersons here he said that Jayanthi should be celebrated for one’s own sake and their own for their State. He said that the statement made by Guru Beladingalu Seva Samstha President Padmaraj without naming Padmaraj, said, “We have nothing to do with that person. We don’t even know who is their Narayana Guru. Narayana Guru, who said that one caste m, one God, has no one caste barricade, he asserted.
Earlier at the Taluk level, the District Administration had organised a programme of Narayana Guru at the District Level, but this time we have decided to celebrate it in a grand manner as the South District Administration has received an order to celebrate his birthday in the presence of all citizens as per the CM’s order. Narayan Guru is not such philosopher confined to only one caste. The criticism by the others is insignificant to us. We don’t create controversy, like last time in the Republic Day tableau the others has created a controversy for no reason. They were Congressmen, and no followers of Narayana Guru in the protest. Now as there is no other matter, they have created a controversy over the birth anniversary issue. He is nobody’s property and these kind of disputes do not matter to us. The Government has chosen Mangaluru for their celebrations. There are indications that the birth anniversary of Narayana Guru will be celebrated in different Districts in the future and we will do so. However, at the State level, Narayana Guru Jayanthi will be celebrated on September 10, he added.
