Mangaluru: The Customs Officials at Mangaluru International Airport (MIA) seized 24 carat purity gold from a male passenger on Tuesday August 16.
The gold seized weighed 224 grams and has been valued at Rs. 11.78 lakh. The male passenger hails from Bhatkal and arrived from Dubai by SpiceJet flight SC-60.
The gold was extracted from oval shaped object concealed with gold in powder form from the passenger.
