Mangaluru: A 65-year-old man who had gone missing was found dead in the Netravati river near Adamkudru on Sunday July 23.

The deceased has been identified as Vishwanatha (65), a resident of Beedu near the Kannur check post. He was a former bank employee.

He informed his family members he was heading to the hospital to have his blood pressure checked on Saturday. His wife made a phone call on his mobile phone when he didn’t come home. Their relative Sarojini, who answered the phone, reported that Vishwanatha left his phone and wallet behind and went towards the river.

The family had filed a missing complaint at the nearby police station.
