Mangaluru: Monkeypox case detected in two passengers from Kerala

Mangaluru: As monkeypox case has been detected in two more passengers from Kerala, a special vigil has been maintained in Dakshina Kannada District and screening at international passengers arriving at Mangaluru Airport.

Three of the passengers who arrived on the flight and the passengers sitting in the previous three seats have been isolated in connection with the fact that the monkeypox positive person had flown in from the UAE on July 16 and then to Kerala.

Health Department officials said the rest of the two in the District were not detected as soon as they arrived by the Health Department and now their addresses have been found. They have been identified as natives of Kerala.
