Mangaluru: Hindu Mahasabha slammed State Government’s move on Wednesday October 19 to suppress protests against illegal tollgate in Surathkal here.
All India Hindu Mahasabha State President Rajesh Pavithran strongly condemned the BJP-led State Government’s misuse of power and police crackdown on the agitators by the police against the Anti-toll Agitation Committee and local citizens who supported agitation against the illegal tollgate in Surathkal, who were demanding immediate stopping of toll collection. Pavithran said that the BJP Government’s act of oppressing the public which it tried to stop the loot from the tollgate using the police force at the illegal toll gate was shameful.
He alleged that the act clearly highlighted the Government’s connivance with a company of looters.
