Mangaluru: The Netravati River’s water level on Sunday July 10 reached the danger level of 8.5 metres.
According to sources, the water level, which was 6.8 metres on Saturday, rose significantly in the evening and at Uppinangady, it reached the danger level early on Sunday.
The recent torrential rain that has battered the district has submerged all low-lying areas of the river basin in Bantwal. The District Administration has made efforts to shift people living in the area to safer places. According to sources, areas including Panemangaluru, Kanchikar market, Jakribettu, and Kaikunje Bastipadpu are submerged.
