Mangaluru: ‘Next time too Poonja will win elections’

Mangaluru: Goa Chief Minister Pramod Sawant said that the Congress and JD (S ) have nurtured their families and not developed Karnataka. He said that in the last eight years, Centre-State development is in front of everyone’s eyes and the work should be done to take it to the every village.

He was speaking after participating in the BJP’s Vijay Sankalpa Yatra held on the main road in Belthangady Town on Sunday March 12. “With the achievements of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Former Chief Minister B. S. Yediyurappa and Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai, a double-engine Government will be formed in the State next time as well. When compared the UPA with current NDA Government we can see how the present double engine Government is working on the development, he asserted.

“The Party will get 150 seats in the State next time which will be the upliftment of the last person in the society. Let us work together to take the schemes of the Centre to the State’s farmers, women and youth of the villages and resolve for a New India and New Karnataka,” he said, praising today’s Sankalpa Yatra as a victory yatra of MLA Harish Poonja.

Former Deputy Chief Minister Eshwarappa said there was no need for a rival candidate to contesr in Belthangady. If one contests, he is sure to lose his deposit. This time, Poonja will win by a margin of 50,000 votes, he said.

Minister Kota Srinivas Poojary said the work of the MLA here is a model for 224 constituencies in the State. Poonja will win by the highest margin in the State, he said.

Minister Sunil Kumar said, “Let’s work towards taking the development works and activities of the MLAs to the villages. Poonja will gain an unprecedented victory, he said.
