Mangaluru: In a tragic incident, a bike rider was killed on the spot after a bike collided head-on with a pick-up at Kepu under Vittal Police Station limits.
The deceased has been identified as Sandesh (33), a resident of Badiyadka. Sandesh is a driver by profession and an amateur singer. He was identified as a BJP worker and travelling on a bike from Vittal side towards Badiyadka on the evening of Friday September 23 when he was hit by a pick-up vehicle coming from the opposite direction, seriously injuring himself.
Locals rushed him to a hospital but he was declared brought dead, stated police.
