In line with directives from the Election Commission to ensure the smooth and fair conduct of the Lok Sabha elections 2024, the Mangaluru City Police Commissionerate has initiated several preemptive measures to uphold public tranquility and order.
In a proactive move, externment orders have been issued against 13 individuals from March 23 to 26. This action supplements the 48 individuals who were previously issued with such orders earlier this month. These individuals have been relocated to different districts, with authorities closely monitoring their activities to uphold the integrity of the electoral process.
Moreover, up until March 26, security bonds have been imposed on 480 habitual offenders who are deemed likely to disrupt peace during this crucial period. These measures collectively aim to foster an environment conducive to peaceful and fair elections in Mangaluru.
