Mangaluru: Prostitution racket busted, pimp arrested

Mangaluru: Acting on a tip-off that a brothel was being carried out at a house named Yanvi at Vijeta Nagara near Pandit House in Ullal Taluk, a police team led by Assistant Commissioner of Police (ACP) Dhanya Nayak conducted a raid and arrested the kingpin woman.

The arrested has been identified as Rukia (50), a resident of Vittalkodi in Bolanthur Village of Bantwal Taluk. ACP Dhanya Nayak led by Ullal Police Station Inspector Sandeep G. S. and Sub-Inspector Manjula L., raided the house.

The police took into custody three customers from the house and rescued the four victims.

A total of Rs. 1,76,580 worth of assets including three two-wheelers, nine mobile phones and Rs. 5,000 in cash, were seized from the accused.

Police Personnel Manjunath N., Dakshayini, Lakshmi, and ACP Anti-Rowdy Squad Personnel Reji participated in the operation.
