Mangaluru: Former Minister Ramanath Rai said the State Government to discharge Kasturirangan Report on Western Ghats.
Speaking at press conference on Thursday December 22, he said that the State Government should scrap Kasturirangan Report on Western Ghats instead of lying to people by saying the Government is oppose to that report. The Kasturirangan Committee was formed to study the recommendations made in Gadgil’s report on the Western Ghats, he noted.
He informed that Gadgil Report had harsh recommendations for people living on the forest edge and hence study was necessitated.
