Mangaluru: It is not right for the Supreme Court to recognise same-sex marriage. Gurupura Vajradehi Matha Seer Sri Rajasekharananda Swamiji has said that sadhus and saints across the country will fight if same-sex marriage is given legal status.
He was addressing a press conference at the VHP office in the city. “Through Western thoughts, some people are planning demands like same-sex marriage to destroy India’s culture. Same-sex marriage is a menace to india’s civilisation and culture,” he observed.
Therefore, we request the Supreme Court not to hold extensive consultations on the issue and legalise same-sex marriage, he urged.
