Mangaluru: All primary and se condary schools in the state will start functioning from May 29. The Department of School Education and Literacy has released the academic schedule for the academic year 2023-24. The classes for the first session will be held from May 29 to October 7. Dasara holidays will be declared from October 8 to 24. The classes for the second session will be held from October 25 to April 10, 2024. The opening ceremony of the school should be held simultaneously across the state on May 31, 2023. The admission process has to be completed by June 30.
In the current academic year, 244 days are considered as days of school duty. 180 days have been set aside for the teaching and learning process. 26 days have been allotted for exam tasks, 24 for extra-curricular activities and 10 days for evaluation process.
