Mangaluru: Former MLA Moiddin Bava will face defamation charges of Rs. 3 Crore if commission charges are not proved against me, said MLA Dr. Y. Bharath Shetty.

“Former Mangaluru North MLA Moiddin Bava has alleged that he has received a commission of Rs. 38 Crore against him in connection with the Surathkal Market issue. If there are any official documents in this regard, let it be made public or else a case of Rs. 3 Crore defamation will be filed against Bava for spreading fake news,” said MLA Bharat Shetty.

Speaking to mediapersons, he said, “Mangaluru North Constituency is on the path of development and already roads, retaining walls, parks and other works have been started at various places in the Constituency. Since the land has not been given away completely to the contractor, they have been paid in half,” he said.

Mangaluru North MLA Bharath Shetty said that the Government has given additional funds and the work will resume and the legal notice will be issued to those who make baseless allegations.
