Mangaluru: Talapady toll staff allegedly thrashes car driver

Mangaluru: The incident of assault on a car driver due to alleged goonda behaviour of toll staff has come to light at Talapady toll plaza.

The incident took place at the Talapady toll gate on the outskirts of City, which is the last toll gate in Talapady on the Karnataka – Kerala border.

The scene of the alleged assault was captured by motorists and it is learnt that the car drivers are from Kerala. The toll staff assaulted the car driver in front of his family members. The motorists and the public expressed their anger against the toll staff for their rude behaviour.

A verbal spat broke out over a trivial issue. The driver of the car was caught and beaten up by the staff.

The incident took place under Ullal Police Station limits and the video went viral on social media. No complaint has been lodged so far regarding the incident.
