Mangaluru: A youth died after his two-wheeler was hit by a tipper in Kuppetti of Puttur Taluk of the Dakshina Kannada District on Monday August 29.
The deceased has been identified as Mohammed Safwan (18), a resident of Khandiga Mane of Uligrama of Bantwal Taluk. After dropping his father Safwan got a news that his relative has met with an accident at Punjalkatte. Safwan hit the tipper truck and was thrown on the road due to which he came under the wheels of a bus and died on the spot.
The tipper truck driver is absconding. Police confiscated the tipper at Belthangady. A case has been registered at Puttur Traffic Police Station.
