Mangaluru: “The most important person in a democracy is the voter, said Deputy Commissioner and District Electoral Officer Ravikumar M. R. and thus has urged the officials to compulsorily exercise the right to vote which Democracy has given us to elect a qualified representative of the people who will work hard to solve the fundamental problems in our District and our constituencies.

He was speaking after presiding over the National Voters’ Day programme organised by the District Administration, Zilla Panchayat and Mangaluru City Corporation at Town Hall here on Wednesday January 25. He suggested that a qualified representative of the people who will work hard to provide the necessary amenities, which will solve the basic problems in the area where we live, should be elected in the election. For the same, we should fulfill the duty given to us by the Constitution, he said.

He appealed to everyone to exercise the right on the day of polling
