Mangaluru: All the voters in the District should caste their vote in the Assembly elections and should cooperate for 100% voting, said Deputy Commissioner Ravikumar M. R., who is also the District Election Officer.
He was speaking after inaugurating voters awareness cartoon exhibition at the Eric Mathias Auditorium of St. Aloysius College in the City, Organised in association with the District Sveep Committee and the Department of Political Science of St. Aloysius College. “The right to vote is a tremendous power given by the Constitution of India to all those who have completed 18 years of age. He also asked them to elect MLAs of their choice in all the eight Assembly constituencies in the District by exercising in the elections to be held on May 10.
“Since voting is our right, every voter in the district should come to the polling booth and cast his vote and uphold the Constitution,” he said.
Zilla Panchayat Chief Executive Officer Dr. Kumar, Mangaluru City Corporation Commissioner Channabasappa, St. Aloysius College Principal Dr. Praveen Martis, Cartoonist John Chandran and others were present.
