Manipal: There has been a new twist to the investigations into the alleged gang rape of Manipal University medical student. If the IGP had earlier in the day confirmed that two accused namely Yogish and Hariprasad (Harish) have been arrested and that search for the third accused was on, latest reports reveal that all the three are in police net with the third accused too attempting suicide, but however surviving.
If Yogish, one of the accused who was earlier arrested had attempted suicide by consuming poison even before the police could apprehend him, the third accused Anand who was earlier suspected to have fled to Goa, was found hanging from a tree at Parkala but was timely saved. It is learnt, he was apprehended late in the evening on June 27, Thursday at Badagubettu, Parkala.
