Mangaluru: State Legislative Assembly Speaker Vishweshwara Hegde Kageri said that Sri Ramakrishna Matha is a model for the world through its knowledge and service.
He was speaking at the inauguration of the valedictory function of the Amrita Mahotsava of Sri Ramakrishna Matha here on Saturday June 4. Nowadays a lot of values are fading away in the society. Hospitals and police stations are on the rise due to selfish thinking. There are also a lot of challenges in the functioning of important organs of governance such as the Legislature, Executive, and Judiciary. In such a situation, Sri Ramakrishna Paramahamsa, and Vivekananda, who showed the light of wisdom to the world through Religion, are role models for us even today, said Kageri.
“That if India has to become a world guru, it has to imbibe the ideals of Sri Ramakrishna Ashrama. Sri Ramakrishna Mathas, which have a history of over 125 years in the country, have contributed in their own way to the nation and world,” he observed.
