Mangaluru: MLA U. T. Khader has condemned the moral policing incident that happened in outskirts of the City in Surathkal on Sunday September 26 and came down heavily on Police Department at its complacency.

He was addressing media persons at the press conference held at Circuit House in City on Wednesday September 29. He pointed out that despite police vigil the anti-social elements such as these are creating chaos in broad daylight. He also condemned the action of the police to approve bail to the accused on the day arrest itself.

Khader questioned as to why police did not take stringent action. He expressed his outrage on the way Police Department is acting as the puppet of ruling party. It is shameful that the Police Department has to urge the rowdy elements to stop creating trouble as seen in the video. It is the duty of the police to take firm action against anti-social elements who are trying to disturb the peace prevailing in the district, he asserted.

He emphasised that people are tired and frustrated with BJP’s rule and that in Sindgi bypoll Congress will emerge victorious. People have realised the value of Congress, and it is crucial for the development of the country, he added.
