Mangaluru: On Tuesday December 15, a coal-laden lorry on the way to Ballari overturned on the road near Thumbe.
The truck driver has suffered minor injuries and was sent to the hospital for treatment. The truck was on its way from the New Mangaluru port to Ballari. The accident occurred when the driver lost control of the vehicle.
According to sources, Melkar police officers came to the scene and helped with traffic flow.
A huge portion of diesel had spilled on the road due to a fuel tank rupture. Fire tenders were called to disperse the fuel spillage and avoid risk to other vehicles.
