Mangaluru: Sri Rama Sene Chief Pramod Muthalik had recently met the Police Commissioner N. Shashi Kumar with regard to which some people took to social media expressing their anger alleging that the Police Commissioner gave a total treatment to Muthalik.
Speaking to mediapersons on Wednesday May 11, Shashi Kumar said that he received information about Pramod Muthalik and his associates’ visit to Malali Mosque under Bajpe Police Station limits, and hence the police was vigilant so as to avoid clash. Meanwhile Pramod Muthalik visited my office on the day and sought permission to visit the mosque, which I refused. It is after this meeting when I left for lunch as usual that some photographs were clicked, which some members of certain organisations and parties made viral. However, i would like to clarify that it is not right to project a situational photograph with a wrong twist, he stressed.
Further, Shashi Kumar said that whoever has made this photograph viral even though there are lot of cases against their party members, whenever such people are representative of that particular party we have always respected such party members. Therefore, it is not right to misrepresent a photograph and malign someone, he added.
