Mangaluru: Konaje Police arrested the accused who stabbed Sharanappa, a Konaje Police Sub Inspector (PSI) who had gone to arrest him near Pajeer.
The arrested accused identified as Mohammed Sadiq (23) is a resident of Salethur Kadumatha. He was involved in the theft of a valuable watch that happened inside the Bunder Police Station’s limit. Sadiq stabbed Vinod, a Bunder police officer who was on his way to arrest him.
On the night of March 23, Konaje PSI Sharanappa and his team went to arrest Sadiq based on information that he was at his in-house law’s in Arkana. Sadiq, on the other hand, stabbed PSI Sharanappa and fled the scene. Nasir was arrested after helping his brother Sadiq in escaping.
Konaje police went to Bengaluru after receiving specific information and arrested Mohammed Sadiq, who was found selling toys with one of his friends at HSR Layout.
