Modi should reveal economic status of the country on white paper

Mangaluru: “Prime Minister Narendra Modi should reveal the economic status of the country post-demonetisation in a white paper”, said State Minister U T Khader here on November 8.

Addressing a press meet at Circuit House here on Wednesday, Khader said, “Due to demonetisation, the people of this country suffered. Youth in the country lost jobs. The union government has done this eyeing on the elections in UP and Punjab to get political mileage. Hence Prime Minister Narendra Modi should reveal the economic status of the country on a white paper.”

Khader comparing UPA and BJP government in unearthing the black money, said,”In the year 2012-13 Rs 29630 Crore and in 2013-14, Rs 101183 Crore was unearthed by then Congress government. But the BJP in the year 2014-15 unearthed Rs 23108 Crore, Rs 20721 Crore in 2015-16 and Rs 20721 in 2015-16. There is no great difference. The UPA regime has done better in unearthing black money.”

Commenting on Indira Canteen, Khader said that by January 1 the canteens would be started in Dakshina Kannada district. Five canteens will come up in Mangaluru City and Ullala and each Taluk headquarters will get a canteen, he added.

On Tipu Jayanthi, Khader said that the government would observe the day. “Tipu was a king who fought for freedom. We should not look at his community but at him as a king”, he added.
