Mangaluru: A total of seven people were arrested in connection with the two separate cases, one being attempt to murder, and the other giving threat to life.
The incidents were reported from Moodushedde in the outskirts of Vamanjoor in City on Thursday October 7. Kavoor police made the arrests.
Five people were arrested as they attempted to kill Bajrang Dal Activist, Vivekananda. The attempt to murder was made on Vivekananda as he opposed pasting a poster of Congress leader Mithun Rai. The objection provoked a group that included Imran, Rizwan, Rameez, Mustafa, Shahrukh, and Ashfaque, who assaulted Vivekananda.
Meanwhile two people were arrested for threatening Ashfaque with life. The two arrested have been identified as Manoj and Veeresh from Moodushedde.
