The Railway authorities have unveiled plans for a new weekly express train service operating between Mangaluru and Rameshwaram. Although the precise launch date remains undisclosed, here are the details of the schedule:
Departure from Mangaluru:
- Time: 7:30 PM
- Day: Every Saturday
Arrival at Rameshwaram:
- Time: 11:45 AM
- Day: Following Sunday
Return Journey from Rameshwaram:
- Time: 2:00 PM
- Day: Sunday
Arrival at Mangaluru:
- Time: 5:50 AM
- Day: Following Monday
The train is slated to make stops at 12 stations along the route, including Kasargod, Kannur, Kozhikode, Shornur, Palakkad, Pollachi, Palani, Dindigul, Madurai, and Ramanathapuram. It boasts a total of 22 coaches, incorporating 7 sleeper coaches and 4 general coaches. This announcement marks a significant development in enhancing connectivity between these prominent destinations.
