Mangaluru: Close on the heels of news making rounds that the RSS is keen on having MP Nalin Kumar Kateel replace BS Yeddyurappa as the BJP State Chief, MP Shobha Karandalaje has billed off the news as mere hearsay.

The news of possible change of power at the state BJP started making rounds after BJP National Amit Shah came to Mangaluru couple of days ago to take part in RSS Baitak or meeting. It was said that the issue of change of guard was discussed extensively, specifically while debating over the recent bypolls debacle in the state.

However, Karandalaje said that the matter did not come up for discussion during the meeting at all and that some invisible hands are creating these confusions.

“The reports are far from truth and are malicious in nature as they are specifically intending to destabilise the party, ” she said adding that she is unable to understand why such news is created.

Meanwhile, taking a jibe at the state government she said that the coalition government had die the minute it came into existence and the dead government is not interested in implementing projects and schemes for the people, but is instead more keen on settling scores with the opposition.
