Manjeshwar: A rider suffered severe injuries while his pillion rider died after the scooter they were riding collided with a Swift car during wee hours of Saturday at Manjeshwar.
Deceased Mushtaq Hussain, aged 62, was the administrator of Danial modern school in Bengaluru and injured Sayyed Ashfaq is the brother in-law of the deceased.
The accident occurred when Mushtaq Hussain, resident of Nagavara in Bengaluru was heading towards Hanafi Masjid for prayers along with his brother in-law and the speeding swift car was heading towards Mangaluru international airport. Due to the mishap, the pillion rider was thrown off the vehicle killing him on the spot while the injured rider was shifted to a private hospital in Mangaluru.
