Mangaluru: The city police seized a goods tempo which was allegedly used by the protesters to store the stones to be thrown at the police and damage public vehicles, on Tuesday, December 24.

According to sources in the police department, they were able to identify and seize the goods tempo after examining the video footage of the December 19 violence sent in by the public. It can be noted that Commissioner of Police Dr P S Harsha had appealed to the public to forward video clippings of the violent protest on Monday morning. After the public responded positively to the appeal and sent several video clippings to the police department, they managed to trace the vehicle on Tuesday.

It is, however, yet to be ascertained who the owner of the goods tempo is, police sources said.
