Rachana AGM held, members felicitated for their outstanding achievements

Mangaluru: Annual General Meeting of Rachana, Catholic Chamber of Commerce and Industry, was held on 13 Dec 2020 at MCC Bank Ltd Head Office, Backyard Ground on St. Aloysius College Road at 7.00 PM. Rachana President Elias Sanctis, Secretary Nelson Monteiro, and Treasurer Felix Pinto were on the dais.

President Elias Sanctis welcomed the members and briefed them about Rachana activities held during the last year. He also mentioned that, due to Covid 19, not many major projects and programs could be done as per the expectation. However, he assured them to bounce back once things get back to normal.

Deliberations held during the AGM were about Annual Report and Audited Accounts of the year 2019-20, the appointment of Auditors for the year 2020-21.

Rachana Members were felicitated for their outstanding service and achievements to society in various capacities. Roy Castelino, Former Rachana President and the newly appointed Public Relations Officer for Mangalore Diocese, Marcel Monteiro, Former Rachana President, who has been appointed as Member of Planning Commission, Govt. of Karnataka, Santhosh D’Silva for being Elected as President of Cashew Manufacturers Association of Karnataka State, John M. Monteiro, Former Rachana President for being appointed as Secretary for Episcopal City Varado and also as Political Convener for Catholic Sabha City Varado and Deepak Dsouza for being elected as Joint Secretary of Catholic Sabha Mangalore Diocese.

The program was compered by Rachana Former President Stany Alvares and Vote of Thanks was proposed by Rachana Secretary Nelson Monteiro. Meeting concluded with Dinner.
