Religious centres will help form civilised society: Advocate Ram Prasad

Mangaluru: The ‘Samskratika Sinchana 2019’ programme was held at Kulshekar Dharmashastra Mandira recently.

Dharmashastra Mandira Trust President and advocate Ram Prasad S presided over the programme. The guest of honour at the event was Aroor Prasad Rao, Dr Damodar Naralu, advocate Vijayagowda Shibrikare, and Harish K Shaktinagar.

Mandira Trust Chief Secretary Mahalingeshwara Bhat welcomed the gathering.

Addressing the gathering, Ram Prasad said, “Spiritual activities in religious centres must be responsive to the pain and suffering of people in the society as well as in the educational and healthcare sectors. This will result in the formation of a civilized society.”

A ‘Satyanarayana’ puja was conducted which was followed by Rangoli, garlanding, and drawing competitions.

Afterwards, a cultural programme was held in the evening wherein employees of Mandira, Ashoka KSRTC, and Janaki were felicitated along with a few talented students as well.

Various committee presidents Srinivasa, Dinesh Jyothinagar, Sumitra, Anjushree, and others were present at the event.
