Mangaluru: Bajrang Dal’s Regional Convener Sunil K. R. said that Islamic Jihadi fanaticism has been on the rise across the country for the past few days.

Speaking to mediapersons on Thursday June 16, he said that Hindus are being systematically attacked. Stone pelting and systematic attacks were being carried out in processions across the country on the Ram Navami. As a result, curfew too were imposed in many parts of the country, leading to tension in nation, he said.

Stating that the Hindu society has maintained patience and tolerance all this while, and hence no major untoward incidents has taken place. Later, stones too were pelted at the procession of Sri Hanuman Jayanthi in some places, he added.

Complaining that a situation has been created where the Hindu society has not been able to hold a procession of their deities in their own country. Bajrang Dal activist Harsha was brutally murdered during the Hijab controversy in Karnataka. There were many attacks on Hindus at the time. Further, Hindu houses, shops, and vehicles were set on fire by rioters who came out of mosques after prayers on the last two Fridays as a retaliation to the statements by Former Members of BJP Nupur Sharma and Naveen Jindal. Government property and temples have also been badly damaged. What more, police forces were also attacked. Many are being threatened with life. The Governments of States like West Bengal and Kerala seem to be standing with these Islamic jihadis. But unrestrained propaganda is being made about Hindu Gods and Goddesses by many heretics. Many secular parties in the country have remained silent despite statements spreading communal hatred, he alleged. He added many political parties, which have been shouting that Democracy is in danger, have remained silent on the murder of Democracy in the last two Fridays.

“The Hindu society of the entire country is hurt and outraged by these attacks,” he said and informed that Hindu society across the country will appeal to the President through Deputy Commissioner against these incidents. A request has been made at all District Headquarters in our State as well, he said.
