Mangaluru: Thieves burgled ‘Vaishnavi’ jewellers showroom here at Carstreet on Tuesday night and decamped with gold and silver worth Rs 3 lakhs.
The owner of the showroom Gopinath Shet came to know about the robbery on Wednesday morning. The CCTV installed inside the showroom has captured the image of the robber who entered the showroom by breaking open the back door.
The police who are investigating the case said that though it is a leading jewellery shop there were no security measures like sensor siren etc, which helped the lone robber get their work done swiftly. Police have released the image of the thief captured by the CCTV installed inside the showroom.
