Mangaluru: A 28-year-old rowdy sheeter was hacked to death by a gang of unidentified assailants near Vinamra Bar in Thokkottu on Sunday night, in what police suspect was a case of rivalry.
Vikram R, a resident of Bolar is the deceased.
The incident took place when the victim was returning home on his bike along with his friend Abhilash, after attending his friend’s Mehendi function. It is learnt that the unidentified group who were in a Scorpio, chased Vikram and hacked him to death.
It is alleged that assailants belonged to a rival gang of Psycho Vicky.
ASP Kalyan Shetty, Ullal inspector Savitra Teja and SI Bharathi rushed to the spot. A case has been registered at Ullal police station in this regard.
